The minister of supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Sherif Farouk, met with the CEO of the Enterprise Development Authority, basil Rahmi, at the ministry's headquarters in El Alamein in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the meeting also witnessed both : Khaled Al-Jabali, member of the board of Directors of the Enterprise Development Authority, Dr. Raafat Abbas, vice chairman of the Authority, Mohammed Medhat, vice chairman of the authority, Ayman Ismail, Chairman of the board of Directors of the holding company for Food Industries, Dr. Alaa Naji, CEO of the holding company for food industries, Hossam Al-Jarahi, Assistant Minister for control Affairs, Ahmed Kamal, assistant minister and official spokesman, Ahmed Essam, Assistant Minister , And Dr. Doaa Nabil, assistant head of the Internal Trade Development Authority .

In the course of the meeting, an organizational framework for joint cooperation was developed to work on the development of existing retail catering outlets, to work on stereotyping and standardizing the form and content of outlets with a unified brand, while studying the creation of new outlets in the most needy regions at the level of the Republic .

Also, the proposed operational and procedural model for the development was reviewed, and the operational requirements for the development of existing catering outlets, such as the “My association” project and grocery catering outlets, were also discussed financing mechanisms and facilities for licensing procedures, in order to ensure their operation in accordance with modern franchise systems and to enable them to compete in the markets and maximize profitability Diverse .

The two sides stressed that the project is a qualitative leap in supporting youth, providing sustainable job opportunities, and enhancing the access of basic goods to citizens at affordable prices, through the development of fixed supply outlets and mobile cars, within the framework of the state's vision to modernize the distribution system and provide comprehensive service to citizens in the field of obtaining high-quality goods and food products .

The meeting also witnessed the executive arrangements for the launch of the first phase of the project, which includes : identifying the target ports of development with the preparation of a unified operational manual, as well as identifying the target governorates for the application .

This cooperation came as part of the state's efforts to enhance food security, modernize retail trade infrastructure, and support the local economy through the integration of efforts between various state institutions .
